The weather was mostly on our side this year – given a few sudden squalls of rain followed by sunshine…our heroes of the Show, Jimmy Green Chandlers and TCS Chandlery, were kept busy selling our High Load Eyes – our Boat Show Special this year. Other Barton products also sold well, including our full line of clutches and Barton winches!

The 10 day show had over 109,000 visitors with over 750 boats on display.

Barton applauds Drascombe by Churchouse Boats for the great support with our new Victory Classic Wooden Blocks shown at Southampton Show on their stand with its beautiful boat, the Drascombe Lugger. They also set up a complete display of Barton’s primary sizes of Victory Classic Wooden Blocks onboard, which received praise from novices and veteran sailors alike. They are now taking this boat to Chicago for the USA Sail Show in January 2017.Thank you to Simon and Sharon of Drascombe by Churchouse Boats, for your support!!

Neil Thompson, of Neil Thompson Boats, was also showing Barton equipment on his designs – but what caught our eye was the Barton gear on his flagship boat that was over 20 years old! The Barton equipment is still rigged and working well, after decades of use!

Topper was also proudly displaying Barton gear on their Boat Show dinghies – and we certainly appreciate all their support. We were also pleased to confirm that Hartley Boats will be supporting Barton with a retail display in their new Chandlery.

Barton’s Rob Lyne, Hazel Morris, Dermot Bealey and Suzanne Blaustone attended the show and helped to support sales with our Chandlers, and visited customers and OEMs in their stands.
