Sailors Pip Hare and Christa Ten Brinke are near to completing the double handed Solent 650 Mini Transat Race, an event part sponsored by Barton Marine. Pip and Christa are racing in ‘The Potting Shed' which has been equipped with some essential Barton kit to help them on their way!

The 300 mile race which started from Lymington on May 6th takes in Wolf Rock and finishes in Plymouth on the 13th May. At the time of this report Pip and Christa had a slender lead. Pip was top female finisher in the recent Mini Transat event and is now in serious training for the next race in 2013.
