Beautiful weather prevailed and the Annapolis Sailboat Show which took place last week was very well attended. Barton Sales Manager Christian Brewer was at the show, representing Barton USA, headed up by Connecticut based Ocean Marketing. Sharing the booth with Tacktick and Scanstrut, Barton Marine completed the line up of high profile UK brands showcased by Ocean Marketing.
Barton USA has been showing great growth in the last three years, helped largely by the introduction of a range of products unique to the US Market and uptake by the biggest dealers. Barton customer Sail Safe Inc. was also at the show exhibiting its unique Anti-Jibe system for yachts up to 36ft. The product generated huge interest from TV, press and serious boaters, definitely one to consider for your winter shopping list, check out www.anti-jibe.com
Sail Safe Inc. owner Doug Holt enthused, "I am amazed at the response, better than I ever hoped for, really worth attending."
Major Barton dealers at the show included Annapolis based Bacon Sails, Sail Care from Ford City and Connecticut based Defender. Steve Reeves, President of Bacon Sails commented, "Our market is in the 20-36ft size range, mostly older yachts where owners look to value and performance, they usually work on their boats themselves and particularly like the single line and lazy jack systems." Steve is looking expand the Bacon Sails range further with the introduction of Barton Traveller kits and K Cams next season.
We also spotted a very slick looking Sensei yacht equipped with a Barton Boomstrut at the Show!
