BALL
BEARING TRACKS:
Are
of a hollow section extruded aluminium for lightweight and high
load capability. The 'Spectro' grey anodised finish is extremely
durable and adds to the friction free performance of these products.
Tracks are available per meter or part, or in set lengths as shown
in the track tables below.

THREE TYPES OF TRACK ARE NOW AVAILABLE AS FOLLOWS
DRILLED TRACKS:
Are most commonly used and are drilled and countersunk at 100mm
centers with the first fastening 50mm in from track end.

SLIDING
BOLT TRACKS:
Available in three sizes to suit all cars. Allows for a smooth
clean profile with no visible fastenings. Also makes retro fitting
tracks an easier job as there is no need to match fastening
holes to original. Just slide fastenings to suitable position.
Ensure that washers are fitted beneath track to ensure a secure
seal. |

BEAM TRACKS:
Use beam track when spanning cockpits or companion
way hatches. A minimum of three fastenings should always be used on
either side of the unsupported area. Ensure that washers are fitted
under the head of the bolt and between track and deck to provide a
secure seal.

Can be manufactured to customers special rquirements.
Please enclose a detailed drawing when ordering giving all dimensions
of curvatures required.
GENOA
CARS:
Towable Genoa Cars are the latest addition to our
recirculating ball bearing range. They are available in all three
sizes.
All feature a precision turned ertalyte sheave running on a large
diameter center bearing. The bolt through sheave design adds not
only good looks, but gives strength and reliability to this rugged
unit. They will accept two sheets if required and have sufficient
articulation to ensure a fair sheet lead.
The control line sheave is ball bearing for low friction and the
integral design keeps a clean low profile appearance.

Important
notes when fitting mainsheet traveller and genoa car systems
|
Suggested
boat sizes are given as a guidance only and assume a monohull
with boom end sheeting leading vertically to the traveller.
Mid boom sheeting, severely angled take offs
and curved tracks can impose greater loads and allowances
should be made for this.
If you are close to the maximum boat length
specified we would suggest uprating to a Torlon Ball system,
a long Double Take Off Traveller or upgrading to the next
size larger size.
If in any doubt of the suitability of any
system, please consult us or your supplier. |
